Embroidery has always been a detail that I have appreciated. Even as a young girl in the late 70s and early 80s, the colorful embellishment drew me in. A resurgence of this needle and thread craft has me extremely happy. In today’s Style Detail Highlight, I am featuring embroidery through a floral bomber jacket.
When I first saw this jacket it reminded me of a dress I had as a young girl with embroidered flowers sprinkled all over the bodice. The stylized floral pattern is very 70s inspired and takes this bomber jacket into my realm of bohemian.
Although this particular shade of red is not in the jacket embroidery, this quilted pencil skirt lends itself to the overall color scheme. To go along with the funky, eclectic nature of the jacket, I went for a white sneaker, but can see this exact look with a pair of heels.
The satin finish on the jacket gives a lovely sheen and I look forward to wearing it in many other ways. Embroidery has made its way onto many types of garments from jeans to handbags and I for one am happy to see it. See some other embroidered bomber jackets I am loving below.

Today’s Postivity Note
A flower does not think of competing to the flower next to it. It just blooms.
