Lane Bryant Faux Leather Jacket with Buckles Review

Lane Bryant Faux Leather Jacket with Buckles | Designing From My Closet | Plus & Inbetweenie Fashion BlogMy outerwear collection has been much to be desired over the years.  The few jackets and coats that I did have were either very outdated or did not fit me.  One item that I knew would be a staple for me would be a cognac faux leather jacket.  After doing a full search, I finally decided on the Faux Leather Jacket with Buckles from Lane Bryant.Lane Bryant Faux Leather Jacket with Buckles | Designing From My Closet | Plus & Inbetweenie Fashion BlogTwo of the most important features I was looking for in a jacket was that it fit comfortably in the upper arms and that I was able to fully close it without it being a struggle.  Both of these issues were taken care of by me selecting the size 18/20.  The details I enjoy on this jacket are that the lapels open up wide when unzipped to show the top I wear underneath, the gold hardware at the shoulder, pocket, and hemline, and the ability to adjust the width of the bottom by a few inches with the workable buckles.  I set mine at the tightest notch to bring it in slightly. Lane Bryant Faux Leather Jacket with Buckles | Designing From My Closet | Plus & Inbetweenie Fashion BlogThe lining is soft and kept me warm on a breezy fall day at the park.  I would say the only con to this jacket would be the length of the sleeves.  Because I am petite in sizing, having long sleeves hit several inches past my wrist is common.  Zippers at the end of the sleeve made it easy for me to open them up and roll them up to a three quarter length.  With the zippers closed I can also fold them up to wrist length nicely.Lane Bryant Faux Leather Jacket with Buckles | Designing From My Closet | Plus & Inbetweenie Fashion BlogOutfit Details

Overall, I am throughly enjoying this new addition to my outerwear and I love how it looks here with the wine colored sweater and skinny jeans.  I like how even with the sweater underneath, the upper arm was still comfortable.  The jacket is beautifully colored and has a lovely soft hand to it.  This is a piece that will be in my closet for many, many years.

  1. Love your outfit! The rich cognac color is perfect. I’ve always been a fan of Lane Bryant because they just get us curvy petite ladies. Thanks for sharing. Hopped over from Throwback Thursday Link Up with Alice 🙂

    1. Thank you so much Kishina! This color is life for me. And I did look around at some other shops and decided it was worth the money to get this beauty at LB because you are so right: they know a curvy body! So glad you visited my page, I love reading Alice’s posts, they are so real.

    1. I agree! Living in the OC temperatures do not dip down very low. This was a long overdue purchase because jackets are not typically on my radar.

Thanks for hosting your weekly link up! I enjoy reading your posts so much.
