It is always an honor to receive a compliment. This past week I had a long time acquaintance who by chance found my blog on Facebook tell me in person how much she appreciated Designing From My Closet. It made me feel so good to know she was getting something from it. Likewise, I was equally honored when PinkBlush contacted me to let me know how much they loved my style and thought some of their pieces would compliment what I like. And boy were they right!
PinkBlush is a women’s online boutique with regular, plus, & maternity sizes. I picked out three items that they so generously gifted to me from their plus line to show you how I would styled them + introduce you to this family owned boutique.
This knit poncho caught my attention immediately, I mean just look at the pattern and color! It practically has my name written all over it. My only dilemma was choosing between this and the pink color way. I love how it is a true thin sweater knit that is perfect for the fall season. I can see myself wearing a long sleeve tee under it when it gets even colder.
I wanted it to be the star so I placed it over a pair of dark wash skinny jeans and added a necklace and clutch that picked up the colors in the poncho. It is open on the sides with button closures so I wore a dark blue tank underneath. I am wearing a size 1x/2x and I find it to be quite generous in fit.
This rich hued top is more like a tunic on my short frame as I was hoping it would be. Burgundy screams fall to me and I was happy to introduce this simple piece into my wardrobe. As usual, I adore the three quarter length sleeves. One thing I found to be a pleasing surprise was that it came with just one front pocket versus the two that is shown online. I am a sucker for asymmetry so I prefer it this way. The fabric I a thin, flowy knit that is super soft and stretchy. It glides over the body beautifully. I am wearing this top in a size 3x.
For a pulled together casual look I topped off the tunic with a large stone slab necklace. Skinny cut boyfriend jeans, fringed handbag, wine colored hat, and flat taupe booties make for a relaxed boho look. And check out the cute buttons that run down the back of the top!
I am in LOVE with this cardigan! It is so unbelievably soft that I felt like I was wrapping myself in a fuzzy blanket. This open front cardigan is a thicker woven sweater that is sure to keep me warm. I am wearing it in size 3x.
I essentially layered this cardigan over the burgundy tunic for an even cozier bohemian fall outfit. It was so windy the day I took these pictures that the draping on the front kept blowing over and covering my necklace. Regardless, I am loving the look. The black, gray, and ivory woven pattern is textural and gives great dimension without being bulky. I think it is going to look great with those teal jeans I just featured recently too.As a special introduction to ShopPinkBlush, they are offering a $25 gift card to shop at this trendy boutique online to one lucky reader.
