Today I am collaborating with my three friends to show you four winter trends. Liz of With Wonder and Whimsy will be showing you baroque, Hailey of Discourse of a Divine Diva will be wearing sequins, Nina of Curvy Mod will be covering Shades of Gray, and I am creating a look with Plaid and Fur.Plaid and fur are always prevalent during the fall and winter months. There are currently a multitude of choices when it comes to plaid from flannel red and black check, more commonly named lumberjack, to woven sweaters in pastels. As far as fur goes, you can find so many vests in a variety of colors and textures that can fit your style. Even fur scarves and stoles are a great addition to amp up a winter outfit.
For this post I wanted to step a little bit away from the traditional button up shirt and go a little more sophisticated. This long line sweater vest with its large scale plaid pattern can easily be dressed up or down. I am wearing it over a gray sweater dress I found on Poshmark as a base for several upcoming winter looks and I thought the vest looked spectacular over it belted. I love the fact that it has black faux fur pockets. The combination of the textures drew me to get this piece. I very rarely wear dark or black outfits and wanted to add a touch of color. This multi color link necklace in autumn hues provides a great interest up by my face. Since cooler fall temps have just made its way to Southern California, I am still dawning bear legs, but when winter comes, I plan on wearing this plaid & fur combo with tights & boots.
