Spin the Pin: Meri Wild

It’s time again for the iCurvy SPINthePIN challenge and this month Jo selected an image from Meri Wild Blog that is an outfit consisting of a fantastic blue tutu, graphic top, black moto jacket, and black & white printed accessories.  It has a great mix of girly girl and tough girl all in one outfit.  I can appreciate this look in so many ways and admire Meri for putting it together for herself.  As far as spinning this pin to make a look for myself, I chose to take three elements to make it my own:

  • The color palette of blue, black, and white
  • The funky mix of texture and prints
  • The wild, whimsical, fun vibeAnthropologie Forest Fete Tunic in Horse Print

Are you totally disappointed by not seeing me in a tutu?  Well, believe it or not, I do not own one.  As much as I love the way they look, I have not found an occasion to where it would be appropriate.  First is the color palette with my blue coming through my top with this horse print top, the black is in my dotted pants, and the white in the print of the top and pants.Anthropologie Forest Fete Tunic in Horse Print

The mix of texture and prints is shown in my look with the graphic print on the top, dots on the pants, woven texture on the clutch, and crochet vest.Anthropologie Forest Fete Tunic in Horse Print

The wild, whimsical, fun vibe is for sure shown here in my look as well.  I had to laugh because the tassels on my bracelet remind me of the inspiration tutu.Anthropologie Forest Fete Tunic in Horse Print

Luke had been laying at my feet the entire time I was taking pictures and I snapped this one really quick.  It was too cute not to include here.Anthropologie Forest Fete Tunic in Horse Print
