This last Friday I was so thrilled to find that Waves of Attire, a rolling boutique in Orange County, CA, was in my neighborhood. A truck converted into the most adorable clothing shop has to be one of the most unique ideas and I was beyond intrigued to meet these wonderful ladies I had connected with on Instagram. I commented that I might stop by if I had time and it turned out to be the best impromptu shopping trip ever. Let me tell you why.
As I approached the blue truck with their logo scrolling across the side, I got even more excited. Upon entering the already full “shop” that was parked outside of a local hair salon, I was welcomed by lace drapery panels swagged to frame the back of the open truck. Wood flooring and industrial metal tubing used to house hanging clothes graced the interior. Then I saw it! The sign that said they carry plus sizes. Ok, I was all over that one.
The crowd of ladies started to part as I looked up to see Katie and Jessica smiling back at me from the front of the truck boutique then whispering to each other saying “she’s here!” It was at that moment I felt somewhat celebrity and I was beyond honored. Hugs and selfies commenced. They were so incredibly sweet and welcoming that I felt like I had known them forever. I immediately fell in love with a royal blue blouse and patterned kimono that I tried on in their draped fitting room.
They also had a plethora of beachy boho jewelry, sunnies, and absolutely adorable clutches. Why did I not get one of those clutches?!!! After snapping a few selfies in my new finds in the dressing room, I realized they really did not do the pieces any justice so I wanted to style them and show how much I love Waves of Attire, Katie & Jessica, and the two pieces I purchased.
The first is the Tribal Kimono. It has a beautiful pattern in tan, orange, blue, yellow, & turquoise with a pom pom trim on the sleeves. I am wearing a size 1X. What I loved about this particular kimono was the length. The flowing fabric just made me feel special, even in a pair of simple skinny jeans.

Next is the Blue Sleeve Blouse. I sized up to a 3X on this top. When I look for solid items, I want them to have special qualities and this blouse had just that. The royal blue is so vibrant that it just is a stand out. Then the scoop neckline, hi-low hem, 3/4 tabbed sleeves, and flowy, yet textured fabric were all details I go ga-ga over. And as if that was not enough, I turned the piece around and behold, a gorgeous caged detail on the back. LOVE! I paired it with my patterned pants that I was not sure I was going to be able to style with anything else and it was like they were meant to be.

I am a sentimental person and these items from Waves of Attire are so my style, but they also carry the experience of meeting Katie and Jessica and being able to shop from a truck. Come on, ever since you’ve seen those Marshall’s commercials with one you’ve wanted to too, admit it! And now, I am totally trying to come up with something spectacular to do just to book them for an event. It’s either that or catch them at their next rolling location.
