I have been counting down the days until the release of the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection on April 19, 2015 ever since it was announced earlier this year. I typically have a little more to spend on clothing in April from birthday cash and then again in December & January from Christmas cash. So, with that being said, this colorful and patternful line could not come at a more opportune time.
Lilly is known for her vibrant designs that is right up my ally. I remember discovering her line of residential fabrics for the first time way back when I was taking interior design courses in college and it was love at first sight. They also have a someone vintage vibe that is cool and sophisticated, yet all together fun.
Here are a few looks from the Plus Size Women’s Look Book that caught my eye:
The pattern on this dress has to be my favorite in the bunch. You can do so much to change it up with different colored cardigans or jackets. I do have to say, I am a little hesitant on the shift shape of these first two dresses as it is a shape I am not used to wearing. And with the plus size line only being available online, I am not sure if these will be on my list or not. We shall see!
Look familiar? I just sported a green and white dress for St. Patrick’s Day that I recently got, so while I will not be getting this one from Target, I absolutely love it.
A few other items I have my eye on are the V-Neck Tank Top – Nosie Posey. It is the same pattern as that shift dress I showed, but in a shape I adore. V-neck for elongation and empire waist with peplum to hide that little tum-tum of mine. Yes!
Then there is the Challis Romper – Happy Place. I had my first experience with a jumper, so why not explore into romper-ville? Again, the pattern is gorgeous with its yellow field with tropical flora in purple, green, and orange. Although I am a little nervous about how the cut of the shorts will look on me, I really want to give this one a try.
Are you ready to take the Lilly plunge? What are the items you have your eye on?
