I am not sure if you have noticed, but I have sure been showing you a whole lot of skirt and dress looks lately. It is not an unconscious decision, but rather an intentional way I am starting to dress since my 30 Days No Shopping Challenge. Wearing skirts is something I found to not only make me physically comfortable, I really like the look.
When I first put this look together I asked my husband if I looked like I was trying too hard to look young. Perhaps it is the short full skirt that reminds me of youthful dressing and perhaps it is my pending 40th birthday that is making me think about things like that. At any rate, he loved it, I love it, so I guess I am just young at heart.
What first drew me to the Tousled Vines Cardigan was the design on the back. Large scale flowers with vibrant color scrolling upwards is just the epitome of spring. Then the other more dainty flowers carry through on the arms and front.

I realize that the cheetah belt is very random and has absolutely nothing to do with anything else in this outfit, but for some reason it works for me. It adds that little quirky quality I like. Overall, the vintage feeling of this look makes me happy. This coral eyelet top is one of SIX coral tops I had. After my closet clear out, I have narrowed it down to this one and one other one. And then would you believe that I was looking at Lane Bryant at yet two more for a Spring Review that I posted about on Friday. Arg, I think I need a coral top intervention!
Do any of you ladies ever have a shift in their style due to an age change? It could be transitioning from a teen to your mid-twenties, or your twenties to your thirties, or like me, a little more.
