A Little Red, White, & Blue

Anthropologie Sparrow Firehouse Cardigan

Well, it seems as though California has just decided to skip Spring all together and go straight into summer with temps going into the upper 80’s and lower 90’s this weekend.  It seemed like the perfect opportunity to wear this thin cardigan that has been in storage since last August.  I have always worn it in a dressy way so I wanted to “cash” it up this time for a weekend look.

Champion Navy Sneakers

My Monday post revealed that I purchased a pair of navy sneakers that I am challenging myself to incorporate into my wardrobe and so far I think I am doing pretty good.

The look went all Americana on me when I selected to pair the red stripe cardigan with a white tank and bright blue ankle pants.

The white bead necklace is a handmade piece from several years ago that has not been worn in a while.  I guess me pairing down has really brought to light all the items I have that go completely unused.

I just love the sheer brown panel on the front of this cardigan that is one of my more special pieces I own.
