Have you ever had a moment where you just had to make due? Well, that was the case the other day when my camera decided to run out of juice. At the time, I did not have a chance to run out and get new batteries, so I did the next best thing and just snapped some shots with my iPhone.

I wanted to share this quirky cardigan with a fun giraffe that kept me going all day long. It is sometimes difficult to pull off unconventional patterns like this and be taken seriously, so I decided to keep the top and jeans very neutral. The gray top has a soft cowel neckline that is super flattering.
The necklace is another recent Poshmark purchase that I am overjoyed with. I have been pairing down on my jewelry and upgrading it to stand-out pieces.
I even peg rolled my jeans to show off these boots. There was some kind of connection I made with these shoes and the giraffe because of the tall, slender ankle height of the boot.
Final thoughts on this look: I would probably wear this with the shirt untucked minus the belt. I think the proportions would have looked a little better, but hey I am glad I wore it this way just to test it out.
How do you add a little quirky fun into your wardrobe? How do you keep it from going overboard?
