Over the past few years, I have really come to appreciate thrifting. While thrift store finds are not the bulk of my wardrobe, Goodwill of Orange County has provided me with some absolutely wonderful pieces. The other reason I like shopping at Goodwill is because they support my local community by providing employment to those who are facing barriers to get and keep jobs. When I toured the main facility in Santa Ana, I was blown away by the variety of services they provide beyond the thrift store, which is just one gamete of their brand. I got to meet several employees who were in the assembly line of making condiment packages for prisons. The jobs that they provide behind the scenes were so much more than I even thought.
Finding pieces from brands like Chico’s, H&M, Gap, and Target, I always seem to find an eclectic item that keeps my wardrobe interesting and keeps me from looking like everyone else. And I LIKE that! Just a few items I highlighted in the collage are my refashioned cardigan (a Target piece I dip dyed), an unknown brand snake print bangle, a LOFT sweater that I refashioned into a sweater vest, Chico’s brand distressed jeans, a GAP plaid shirt, a Louis Vuitton handbag, a pair of carved wood bangles, purple slouchy boots, Chico’s straight leg jeans, an H&M zebra clutch, and a Dress Barn faux leather jacket.
I am planning a whole post on Spring trends that you can find at Goodwill of Orange County, so keep following along!
What about you, do you thrift? Is there a particular thrift shop you like to frequent? Would you be interested in a post on how I thrift?
Today’s Postivity Note
Exist to be happy, not to impress.

This is not a sponsored post and I was not compensated for writing this. I just really like thrifting and love to support my local community.
