It all happened when I was on the hunt for bedding for a clients design. I saw the Woodblock Floral Quilt Set and was inspired to pull an outfit together ready for the upcoming Spring season. A Target gift card led me to get this kimono jacket that just reminded me of the whole bedding ensemble with the navy, rose, & chartreuse color scheme, floral pattern, and pom poms.
Pom Pom Kimono Jacket: Target | White Center Smocked Tank: Anthropologie via Poshmark vendor @zoradorable (similar) | Bootcut Jeans: GAP (similar) | Medallion Necklace: Pier 1 (similar) | Turquoise & Silver Ring: Handmade by Native American Woman in Oklahoma (similar) | Yellow Chunky Heels: Bandolino via TJMaxx (similar)
I feel like I am constantly on the lookout for nice white tanks with a little interest and sometimes that is hard to find. I have been Poshing my little heart out selling a ton of stuff (see my closet here: j9design) and when I came across this Deletta cinched waist tank I quickly purchased it. If you are on Poshmark, I would highly recommend you check out Zora’s Closet. Only, please don’t get those items I really like (wink, wink)!
For the past few weeks I have been participating with Audrey of Putting Me Together in her #PMTStyleChallenge ‘s. This week: HAIR! If you have read any of my past posts, or follow me on Instagram, you know that I am hair challenged, especially when it comes to up-do’s. I took inspiration from one of my style icons, Princess Leia (yes, I am a Star Wars freak) and started in on doing my braids.
It turned out to be like a double braid head band and I don’t think I could ever in a million years replicate the look. I really like it though! I had planned on it being completely up, but that was not in the stars. After 15 minutes, I was plain ‘ol done!
The evening just after taking these photos I sat down to take a look at one of my favorite magazines, People Style Watch and I found that I managed to pull off three Spring Trends in this look: braids, yellow pumps, & block heels! Woot Woot!
Do you have any outfits that you are ready to wear for the Spring? What trends are you going to try?
