I want to wish all my US readers a Happy Thanksgiving!
This year, I am doing things a little bit differently and having our meal outside. The forecast for tomorrow in Huntington Beach, CA is 82 degrees (F) and sunny. The mister and I have been hosting Thanksgiving dinner for four years now at our home. I look forward to the family that I am going to be surrounded with. This is also the first year I have not been fussing over every minute detail causing me to stay up at night. With my pup of 14 years now gone, I have been crying over the seasonal traditions and how much she was a part of them. Hence the change in table location and carefree attitude of only caring about being with the ones I love.
After a wonderful visit to The Hanger (did you see my shopping visit review?), I got a beautiful Anthropologie knit top in what else, but my favorite color of green. I have several Sparrow brand tops and they never seem to disappoint.
The lightweight knit will be perfect for the warmer weather, although I plan on wearing a tank underneath due to the sheer top portion. I love the lacey diamond pattern open weave on the top and arms. And I think I am going to do a curly side swept pony tail to show off the back keyhole.
I am scheming about how I am going to wear it on Thanksgiving.
My first option was to pull this dark purple Loft lace skirt with matching color tights and a leopard heel. The closer the date is coming I am thinking that first the tights are going to be too hot and second, a short skirt and heels may not be the most practical option for moving in the kitchen. I will keep this look for another day.
Option 2 is to pair it with ivory and gold embellished pants from Chico’s and my favorite cut out flats. I would actually prefer to see this with my tall light brown riding boots, but I think I would melt. Add a signature statement necklace and I am really liking the green and gold look. I still need to figure out if I am going to tuck or not to tuck, belt or not to belt. We shall see!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and wish you all blessings!
