Simply Dizzy over Soft Pants

Soft Pants

Soft Pants

Has anyone ever had vertigo?  Well if you have, you can understand why I am leaning in the first photo and have cropped out my arm that is gripping the fence in the second one.  And, not to mention the total lack of detail pics I usually take.  This is my first time dealing with something like this and it is no fun.  I still need to work and I am glad I had this outfit already planned for me just to pop on.

I got these dark chambray pants in a soft silhouette a little bit ago because they were like nothing I have ever had.  It is a nice departure from my skinnies and trousers.  The chambray has a light coated finish that give the pants a subtle sheen and I love the gold hardware on the ends of the waist drawstrings.  When I saw Hailey of Discourse of a Divine Diva post a Macy’s fashion show review, she featured many looks with soft pants.  I was smitten with the look all over again and I knew I needed to style those pants.

At first I had planned on topping this with a brown jacket, but the weather was a bit warmer than anticipated, so I opted for this lighter weight brown dotted cardigan.  The look totally lifted my spirits as I worked away on a design plan.  Mixing all the colors and patterns just made me happy, especially that Anthropologie necklace.  I do wish that the ankle band was a little tighter around my ankle, but I had sized up to accommodate my thighs.  Perhaps I can do a quick alteration for next time.

I am looking forward to seeing what other looks I can create incorporating these soft pants.  What do you think?  Any ideas for me?
