This shot of a gold deer head against navy and white drapery has always been one of my favorites. The simple colors, but fun and whimsical feel of it makes me smile. Today’s look is taken directly from this interior design portfolio pic. As usual for all my “Inspired by Interior Design” posts, I took my inspo photo and plugged it into my ColorSnap App.
The color scheme is pretty simple with navy, creams and whites, and gold. Translate that into an outfit and here is what I got by shopping my closet.
This navy and white stripe shirt is anything from being basic with the contrasting print at the shoulder. I truly cannot believe I am tucking my shirt again, (with the whole short-waisted thing) but it seems to work. The belt not only picks up the golden color, it also picks up the wavy lines of the drapery. A simple dark chambray pencil skirt paired with tall boots is my way of saying, fall has finally arrived in So Cal. And can you get a look at that necklace?!! I got this deer head necklace last year and wore it like crazy over the winter months. This is the first wear of it in a long time.
My StyleBook #30DaysNoShopping Challenge continues and this outfit makes it to Day 7. Check out my Instagram and Twitter feeds to see how I really “Design From My Closet” and see all the other days of the challenge.
